New Oblivion delivers more plot

Oblivion.jpgA new trailer for Oblivion has hit and this one delivers far more about the story that was only hinted at in the original teaser. Here we're gaining a lot more about the story and not only what happens to our leading character but also what is happening around him on Earth and the lies he's been told.

While this trailer delivers more on the story front I don't believe it's delivering any spoilers, just more direction behind the idea that begins the journey for our leading character.

The trailer for Oblivion is still keeping the mystery behind some of the Earth based characters in the film played by Morgan Freeman and Olga Kurylenko but gives us more around the main theme of the story hinting at what could really be happening on Earth but not letting us have enough to know for sure.

The film is directed by the TRON: Legacy (Filmstalker review) director Joseph Kosinski who also co-writes with Karl Gajdusek who wrote on the film Trespass (Filmstalker review).

Tom Cruise plays the lead and is joined by Andrea Riseborough, and with the two names above we already have a strong cast for the film but then there is also Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Melissa Leo.

Here's the blurb for Oblivion:

One of the few remaining drone repairmen assigned to Earth, its surface devastated after decades of war with the alien Scavs, discovers a crashed spacecraft with contents that bring into question everything he believed about the war, and may even put the fate of mankind in his hands.

Now for the new trailer which comes through TrailerAddict and, as I said before, doesn't contain spoilers I don't think but does deliver more story. I think it looks great.
