Taken 2 UK trailer looks surprisingly good

I wondered how cheesy the Taken 2 trailer would be; after all it's just more of the same isn't it? I'd like to say how wrong I was, but I wasn't. Taken 2 does look like just more of the same however you have to admit that more of the same could be good and there actually is a logical progression of the story.

While I must admit that the idea of his daughter and wife appearing in Istanbul after everything that has happened seems a little stretched, the fact that he's there doesn't if he's on a job, and what follows seems like it could be possible.

Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen has written the film that Olivier Megaton has directed and Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace, Famke Janssen all star in, and I'm glad to say the beguiling and hugely talented Janssen is getting a bigger role, unfortunately because she and the daughter are the ones to be kidnapped this time.

Here's the blurb for Taken 2:

In Istanbul, retired CIA operative Bryan Mills and his wife are taken hostage by the father of a kidnapper Mills killed while rescuing his daughter.

TrailerAddict has the trailer for Taken 2 which looks strong and I think might actually be worth watching.

I wonder though, would it have been better just to see him go after the bad guys by himself or perhaps get his old team together and do it? Perhaps because they get contacted by some other families whose daughters were taken, it just seems somewhat of a stretch to find them all in Istanbul and it all happen all over again.
