French Cosmopolis trailer shows much more

Cosmopolis.jpgA French trailer for David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis has arrived and this one has a lot more story to it, even if it is flashing through the images, which also means it has a lot more footage. We also get some explanation of the giant rat scene as well as a new, medium sized rat to contend with.

This trailer makes the film look even more intriguing but does bring with it some trademark Cronenberg strangeness that might mean we're seeing a little more of the old Cronenberg creep in than we have lately.

One thing is for sure this is going to mean a great break for Robert Pattinson from the franchise he's associated with, and it's also a strong turn for Jay Baruchel. The film also stars Kevin Durand, Paul Giamatti, Samantha Morton, Juliette Binoche, Mathieu Amalric, and more, most of whom you can see in the trailer.

This is a really good trailer for Cosmopolis and we understand a little more of the story behind the film, especially if we haven't read the Don DeLillo novel, although the continuing line of "I want a haircut" does start to seem a little odd as the events spiral.

Here's the new trailer for the film which comes from Allocine through First Showing, definitely one to watch and a film to watch out for. How Cronenberg is this going to get?

That really does look like Pattinson is breaking ties with his past, and he couldn't have picked a better film and director to make that break as shattering as possible.
