Stalked: Carrey is sober, Fox alienates people

Jim Carrey to return to comedy in Sober Buddies and Megan Fox is joining the already strong cast of How to Lose Friends and Alienate People.

Jim Carrey is set to star in a comedy called Sober Buddies. The film will see a hard partying executive who is given a sober buddy by the courts to keep him on the straight and narrow. However on a business trip to Las Vegas the Sober Buddy is the one that falls off the wagon.

From the story in Variety it sounds like Carrey is heading more towards comedy again as he has a few comedy roles coming up. I much prefer him playing it straight, it's just that he hasn't chosen the greatest of scripts the past few times.

Megan Fox has joined How to Lose Friends and Alienate People alongside the strong talents of Kirsten Dunst, Simon Pegg, Jeff Bridges, Danny Huston and Gillian Anderson. The story is adapted from the Toby Young memoir and directed by Robert B. Weide, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She will play a young Hollywood starlet who gets her first taste of fame.
