Lovelace trailer arrives and looks a lot of fun

Lovelace.jpgWe have two films about Linda Lovelace coming and it looks like Lovelace is the one that's going to make it first by a mile, does that make it the better one? Well we haven't had much way to judge that yet other than the cast list, now we have a trailer.

Lovelace is directed by Rob Epstein and written by Andy Bellin and stars Amanda Seyfried as Linda Lovelace, along with Peter Sarsgaard, Wes Bentley, Juno Temple, Sharon Stone, Robert Patrick, Chris Noth, Adam Brody, Hank Azaria, James Franco, Eric Roberts, Chloë Sevigny and Bobby Cannavale.

That's quite a list of names there and it stacks up well against the other Linda Lovelace film in the works, Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story which stars Malin Akerman in the lead with Sasha Grey, Matt Dillon and Harold Perrineau. Written and directed by Matthew Wilder this is the film that was to star Lindsay Lohan, however it's never quite gotten off the ground and even Lohan's replacement Akerman has been casting doubts about whether it will ever be made. Considering Lovelace is about to arrive I don't know if it ever will.

Back to the film in hand though, the trailer for Lovelace looks good but seems rather light hearted considering the subject matter. It does get a little more serious towards the end but then it quickly backs out of it, a few more steps in the wrong direction and you could be mistaking this for a comedy.

It isn't though, it's going to be a bit of a heavy film if you consider what the story of Linda Lovelace, aka Linda Boreman, is. Her experiences on the film Deep Throat, with her husband and manager, and her time in and out of the adult film industry. Here's the short plot outline:

The story of adult film legend Linda Lovelace, who starred in the 1972 film "Deep Throat" and her tumultuous relationship with her husband and "manager" Chuck Traynor.

Now over to TrailerAddict for the trailer for Lovelace:

There's certainly a few big names in there but I think you'll agree the trailer looks a lot lighter than the story you were expecting.
