Pacific Rim robot action trailer

PacificRim.jpgA new teaser trailer for Guillermo del Toro's giant robots versus giant sea creatures film Pacific Rim has been dropped quietly online and it features some new footage as well as a stirring speech from Idris Elba.

The teaser is titled with "CES Qualcomm" and is believed to be from the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) which is happening in Las Vegas this week. No matter where it's from it has some new footage of the pilots working the robots, the robots fighting the creatures and the creatures themselves.

The new teaser trailer for Pacific Rim manages to tell the story quickly and efficiently and it manages to pack a punch too, and with the new footage its worthwhile watching.

I'm interested in the film although I shan't be watching it in converted 3D, mind you I wouldn't be watching it in 3D anyway as I'm more interested in seeing what del Toro has done and how he's made the film look. It's an intriguing prospect to see the effects heavy film with mammoth creatures and robots at loggerheads, it isn't a typical del Toro film.

Here's the new teaser that tells you everything you need to, I doubt I need to go over the plot again suffice to say giant creatures come out of the sea and humans fight back with big robots. Done. Oh, and there's the interesting cast too with Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Ron Perlman, Clifton Collins Jr. and Rinko Kikuchi.

Here's the teaser trailer which comes through JoBlo:
