There's not that much to The Lovely Bones teaser, at least not yet, but there will be when it gets shown on television in the next few days. Until then there's a little teaser of it online with some footage to get your teeth into.

I've never read the book so I didn't really know what to expect, but it certainly seems dramatic and there are a few supernatural style moments too.

Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones isn't due out until December in the US and Australia and the end of January onwards for the rest of the world, why they still insist on doing that stalled release for the rest of the world I can't understand.

The Lovely Bones is adapted from the novel ( / ) and directed by Peter Jackson, and tells the story of a girl who is murdered and remains around as a spirit to try and find and expose her murderer while at the same time protecting those close to her.

Now we finally get to see a little of the film, and I'm desperate to see the trailer. It stars Saoirse Ronan in the lead and Rachel Weisz, Mark Wahlberg, Susan Sarandon and Stanley Tucci.

Great line-up, great story, great director, and so on, will it be a great adaptation? Have a look at the teaser footage from Entertainment Weekly here for an indication.
