Mark Wahlberg is to play a vigilante in the kidnap thriller Prisoners. His character's daughter and her best friend are kidnapped, and he sets out to get them back. No director is on board yet. The news is from Variety.
Matt Damon's The Adjustment Bureau has been picked up by a studio. Variety say Universal Pictures will make the film, which sees Damon play a congressman who meets a ballet dancer. But circumstances seem to be against them getting together.
Dinner for Schmucks is finally near to getting going. Jay Roach is directing with Paul Rudd and Steve Carrell starring. The remake of the French comedy, Le Diner des cons, has been long in the making. In which time Sacha Baron Cohen left the project. Variety say the studios have finally gotten their act together.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is hitting another one out the park. He is to provide the voice of a bull in the animated film, Holy Cow!. The bull in question decides to head for India, where he is more likely to be revered than end up on the dinner table. The news comes from Variety.
