Naomi Watts and Freida Pinto have joined Josh Brolin and Anthony Hopkins in Woody Allen's latest film which is remaining untitled for now, all we know is that it will be filmed in London and this is the cast, so far. The story comes from The Hollywood Reporter.
John Cusack and Rob Corddry have joined the comedy Hot Tub Time Machine which will be directed by Steve Pink according to The Hollywood Reporter. Craig Robinson and Clark Duke are also in negotiations to join the cast. The film follows a group of guys who are fed up with their adults lives and miss the good old days of the past, so they head to the ski lodge where they went when they were teenagers and are magically transported back to 1987 via their time travelling hot tub. Okay.
According to Variety Sean Penn is in talks to join Naomi Watts in Fair Game, the true story of CIA agent Valerie Plame Wilson, to be played by Watts, who was revealed to be a spy after her husband, hopefully Penn, wrote stories in the newspapers of how the Bush administration lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq in order to invade.
The story is a really interesting one, for after her agent status was compromised in the press, her and her husband filed a law suit against Vice President Dick Cheney, Karl Rove and Cheney's ex-chief of staff, Lewis Libby. Both Rove and Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage admitted that they had leaked her true identity to the press and compromised her CIA agent status in order to discredit the stories, and Libby was convicted of lying to a grand jury. However the President stepped in and commuted his sentence.
That's going to be one powerful and hard hitting film, and with Penn hopefully joining the film we're sure of some powerful performances.
