Green Hornet gets green light
The new film version of The Green Hornet has finally been officially given the go ahead. It's been nearly a year since Seth Rogen was attached to the film, but Sony is finally ready to get it moving.
Rogen will be starring as Britt Reid/The Green Hornet, in the new film. The film has spent a fair bit of time going no where fast.
The Green Hornet film had been in development for some time before Seth Rogen got his hands on it. But now the star of Knocked Up and Superbad can finally get moving. Screen Rant say that as well as starring in the film, he will write the script with his Superbad co writer Evan Goldberg.
What little I know of The Green Hornet is what I've seen of Bruce Lee playing The Green Hornet's sidekick Kato. Seth Rogen originally spoke about wanting Stephen Chow for the rols, but nothing has been confirmed. There's no director yet either, so let's hope it all starts happening now.
The Green Hornet revolves around a guy who inherits his fathers newspaper, and fights crime at night with his sidekick Kato. It's been around the block before, starting out as a radio show, then becoming a comic book, film, and a TV show
