Hilton's Hottie and the Nottie trailer

ParisHilton.jpgI think I just burned my eyes out watching the trailer for the new film featuring Paris Hilton, Joel Moore and Christine Lakin. It's awful, and genuinely painful.

In fact having watched Knocked Up (Filmstalker review) recently, I couldn't stop comparing the guy moments to it, and then there's the whole portrayal of women...oh dear.

I'm not a feminist, in fact some of my friends reading this might be having a few sniggers at the thought, but I do think that the portrayal of women in cinema can sometimes be just a little negative, and with stick thin Paris Hilton being touted as a “hottie”, who I thought would have been more a “nottie” in both size and sexuality, it's doing just that.

I've got a feeling where the film will go too, although Joel Moore's character will be chasing the hottie, he's going to end up with the nottie who, after some makeover treatment, possibly by the hottie herself, will turn out amazingly stunning, despite her hugely disgusting looks in the film.

It reeks of formula, and it reeks of just too much, especially too much on Christine Lakin's character.

Then there's the scenes of the overweight, curly haired buddy comedian type who dispenses his warped and humorous logic on the lead character at every turn...haven't we seen that in Knocked Up and 40 Year Old Virgin?

This looks awful, and to prove how much I have the YouTube video through dtheatre right here:

Painful.

This film looks awful. I watched the trailer knowing it was going to be bad but it was worse. From watching the trailer its clear to be movie-ugly all the hair/makeup guys need to add are some really dodgy fake teeth, a few boils/warts, unbrushed hair and big eyebrows.

The film info on imdb confirms the obvious conclusion to the film:

"....his plan to woo her only has one hurdle to overcome: what to do with June, Cristabel's ever-present, not-so-hot best friend? What's even more complicating is Nate's growing feelings for June, whose true beauty starts to emerge."

*yawn*

I don't think there's any love out there for Paris Hilton and I am not surprised.
