2007 BAFTA nominees announced

BAFTA.jpgThe BAFTA's normally bring with them a lot of sense from the over-hyped and far too cash and popularity focused Oscars, however this year there's an unnerving consensus between most of the award ceremonies, and there doesn't look like there's going to be a huge difference in the BAFTA's either.

Scroll through the list and you'll see the same names appearing again and again, and while that's not such a bad thing is that because there are a few stunningly wonderful films this year, or that all the competition is filled with sequels, prequels and drivel.

Comments

Finally, a recognition for James McAvoy and well deserved too but really now, Keira Knightley for Best Actress in Atonement? Is that some joke?

Well it is the BAFTA's after all, perhaps there's just no other British star in comparison?
