Filmstalker: Once trailer and release dates

I have the trailer for Once in various formats and sizes to celebrate the UK release on October the 19th while it is on show to the Edinburgh Film Festival crowd this week.

It's already seen a release in Ireland and Germany, and Australia is set for the 30th of August, the Netherlands the 20th of September and France on the 7th of November.

The film is described as a modern day musical about a week in the life of a busker and an immigrant as they fall in love with each other. It's been exceedingly well received, just listen to this non-press quote:

"A little movie called Once gave me enough inspiration to last the rest of the year."

Want to know who said that? Steven Spielberg.

You can see the trailer right here, and you can read more about it from the official site. I was trying to see it at the EIFF but it's just not worked out with the tight schedule.

Oh no! I hope you have a chance to catch it after the festival. It's a fantastic film!

One of the best films of the year. It is amazingly refreshing. You'll feel great walking out of the theater.

Not technically a musical. There is a lot of (great) music in the film, but the characters don't just bust into song or repeat their lines musically. The movie itself is actually about music. Fantastic.
