Last we heard Jim Broadbent and Miranda Richardson had joined the cast of The Young Victoria. Next up is Paul Bettany, he will be playing Lord Melbourne a trusted adviser to the Queen. Also joining is Thomas Kretschmann as Belgian King Leopold. Emily Blunt is Queen Victoria with Rupert Friend playing Albert.

Variety brings us the news of the new additions.Jean-Marc Vallee will be directing this great cast, with Martin Scorsese one of the producers. The film concentrates on Queen Victoria's early life, her early ascension to the throne and her marriage to Prince Albert. It has already started filming and should be in cinemas next year.
