A real Night at the Museum for UK schools
Now I do know that there are a few people younger than me out there, although I don't know how young, so the news that Night at the Museum is helping educate children across the UK about natural history might just be of interest.
BBC television presenter Michaela Strachan is fronting a podcast for schools to give the younger generation a behind the scenes look at the London Natural History Museum, something which is brilliant for those who can't actually get there.
The podcast has loads of educational facts mixed in with clips and refrences to the film and has been exclusively filmed at the Natural History Museum.
This marks just one of the educational activities that is surrounding the launch of the DVD, and yes it does help marketing, but surely this has a great positive too? If you attend school in the UK does this interest you? If so, have a look at the podcast links that follow and let me know what you think, because the people behind this podcast will see your comments too and will be very interested in how you liked it.
What might also be of interest is that between May 18th, 19th and 20th there will be special nights held at local museums throughout the country for schools to attend. You'll get to see a night time showing of the film as well as a spooky night time tour!
To find out more about this event and to perhaps organise something for your school or museum, head to the MGM Organisers site or use the MGM search to find all the Night at the Museum showings.
