There's a story out today that Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro are making a film about their growing up together through life and film.

The film might talk about their younger days growing up in the same New York neighbourhood and their work on such classics as Goodfellas, Mean Streets and Raging Bull. Apparently, according to Contact Music through Zee News, work on the film will begin once De Niro completes The Good Shepherd.

Interestingly there's no real mention of where the confirmation was made, but according to the story Scorsese has done just that and confirmed it. Well although they are both heavyweights, I feel quite unmoved by this. Neither their growing up stories nor behind the scenes of their movies seem to inspire me that much, but then maybe there's something more to them than has been reported?
